Declaration of Ecumenical Welcome

Saffron Walden’s United Reformed Church has welcomed members and the congregation from Castle Street Methodist Church to the Church in Abbey Lane and a Declaration of Ecumenical Welcome has been signed on behalf of both churches. The declaration states:

We, the members and congregation of Abbey Lane and Newport United Reformed Church, Saffron Walden, welcome the opportunity to become a spiritual home for Methodists as well as members of the United Reformed Church in the town and surrounding area. It will be a privilege to be the place which offers regular public worship and opportunities for Christian service to members and to people from both traditions. “
